Matthew 22:37-39 (ESV) 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Psalm 29:2 (ESV) Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.
Worship is one of the most important things that we do as believers. We were created to honor God and bring Him glory! When we gather at FBC Vidalia to worship corporately, our music is biblically-centered and spirit-filled as we bring an offering of praise. As commanded in Colossians 3:16-17, we seek to sing various kinds of music (psalms, hymns, & spiritual songs), publicly read scripture so that it “may dwell in us richly” while doing all in the “name of Jesus giving thanks through Him to God our Father.” We worship God for who He is and what He has done for us.
Our worship choir leads our people in worship through song each Sunday morning. While we are blessed with some outstanding musicians, most of us are ordinary church members who have a heart for worship and service. We would love for you to join us. Our choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm in F2.
Praise teams and soloists are pulled from our worship choir to help lead in praise and worship during Sunday morning and evening services.
Our band is an exciting group that leads through playing instruments. If you are interested in joining us contact the office.
Our praise team and band rehearse on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center.
